NASA's Earth Observatory captured images of a light-brown dust plume spreading across northwestern Africa on March 30, 2026. The plume, with a defined front, shifted southwest throughout the day, partially extending over the Atlantic Ocean.

The images, taken in the morning and afternoon, show the evolution of the dust plume. In the morning, the plume was spreading over northwestern Africa, while in the afternoon, it had shifted southwest, covering part of the Atlantic Ocean.
