Pit, the Swedish AI startup from Voi founders, gains attention in Stockholm
Swedish startup Pit, led by ex-cofounders of Voi, aims to revolutionize enterprise automation with tailored AI solutions.

In Stockholm, one of Europe's most active startup hubs, a new AI company named Pit is emerging and already attracting attention. Founded by the co-founders of Voi, including CEO Fredrik Hjelm, the startup has secured backing from a16z, a major venture capital firm. The initial seed round raised $16 million, highlighting the strong interest in Pit’s potential.
Pit focuses on providing AI solutions for businesses, aiming to automate internal processes and boost efficiency. Its flagship product, Pit Studio, allows employees to guide AI in specific tasks, creating custom software for each client. Additionally, Pit Cloud ensures these solutions meet governance, certification, and audit requirements critical for enterprise use.
Since January, the startup has begun pilot testing in sectors like telecom, healthcare, and logistics. The goal is to automate support and back-office functions, freeing up time for staff to focus on strategic activities. CEO Adam Jafer emphasizes that Pit’s aim isn’t to cut jobs but to improve work quality and reduce human errors.
The team combines talent from Voi, Klarna, and other tech companies, with a culture centered on leveraging AI’s maturity for enterprise needs. They are also hiring solution engineers to meet the expectations of large clients seeking faster processes and productivity gains.
While Hjelm remains CEO of Voi, his involvement in Pit’s strategy and connections with top investors like a16z have opened doors in Europe’s startup ecosystem. The transatlantic backing and experienced team position Pit as a promising player in European enterprise AI.
With a flexible approach to technology and a focus on tangible results, Pit aims to stand out in a competitive market. The rise of autonomous agent models and regulatory demands make the company’s approach timely and relevant.
As Stockholm continues to grow as an AI innovation hub, Pit joins a list of companies seeking to lead the automation revolution with tailored, enterprise-grade AI solutions.
