Mozilla Firefox, one of the most trusted and widely used web browsers, is not immune to security issues. The recent version was analyzed with the help of Claude Mythos, Anthropic's powerful AI, revealing 271 security flaws that have now been patched.

This discovery was confirmed by Mozilla on its official blog. The team explained that examining version 150 with Claude Mythos uncovered a remarkable number of vulnerabilities requiring immediate fixes. Fortunately, all of them now have their respective patches.

Mozilla had previously used Anthropic's AI to find security flaws in Firefox. Back then, they identified over twenty critical vulnerabilities with Claude Sonnet 4.6, an earlier version with different capabilities.

According to Mozilla, technological progress moves so fast that in 2025, only one of these 271 bugs would have triggered a red alert. The organization also questions whether it will ever be possible to keep up with so many vulnerabilities appearing simultaneously.

The foundation remains optimistic about AI-assisted cybersecurity. While acknowledging that there's still much work ahead, they believe technology can make a real difference in digital protection.

They also highlight that AI helps address a growing problem: the shortage of elite security researchers. Manually hunting for critical flaws takes a lot of time and resources, and AI can significantly speed up this process.

Mozilla notes that AI-based security systems evolve so rapidly that they now perform tasks once considered impossible. Their experience analyzing top security experts' work supports Claude Mythos's ability to detect vulnerabilities effectively.

Finally, Mozilla clarified that no vulnerabilities were found in the latest analysis phase, but they warn that the fight against digital threats continues, and technology will be crucial in that battle.
