Crunchyroll confirmed that the special My Hero Academia episode will be available from May 2. It adapts an epilogue set eight years after the main story.

On May 2, Crunchyroll will release a special episode of My Hero Academia titled "More." This episode will adapt chapter 431 of the original manga, serving as an epilogue that takes place eight years after the series' conclusion. Fans worldwide will be able to watch it on the same day, in both subbed and dubbed versions, on the streaming platform.
According to the official trailer, the episode will premiere at 5:30pm JST, which translates to 4:30am EST and 1:30am PST in the United States. While there might be a slight delay, it’s expected to be available before 5:30am EST. The episode’s estimated runtime is between 20 and 25 minutes, considering commercial breaks during its Japanese broadcast.
A recent trailer on YouTube gave fans a first look at the characters of Class 1-A after the eight-year time jump. The series, which first aired in 2016, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, with season 8 being its final chapter, aired in 2025. Created by Kōhei Horikoshi, the manga was serialized in Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024, and this special episode marks a bittersweet ending to the main story. However, the universe of Quirks remains alive through spin-offs like "My Hero Academia: Vigilantes" and others that may get anime adaptations in the future.
This episode serves as an emotional conclusion to the original series but also opens the door for new stories within the hero universe. Fans can look forward to more content in different formats, keeping the legacy alive. The confirmation that both dubbed and subbed versions will be available on the same day adds to the excitement about seeing how the characters have evolved over the years.
The special episode of My Hero Academia will be a heartfelt ending but also a gateway to new stories in the Quirks universe.
