Capcom announced that Pragmata, its latest sci-fi action-adventure game, sold over a million copies within the first two days. The company highlighted that it is a completely new IP, mainly developed by a young team at Capcom, blending action and puzzle elements in a world ruled by artificial intelligence.

To reach this milestone, Capcom employed various marketing strategies, starting with the early release of a playable demo. They also expanded the game's availability by supporting Nintendo Switch 2 early on, aligning with their multiplatform approach.

Pragmata follows Hugh, a member of an investigation team, and Diana, a young android, as they explore a lunar facility taken over by rogue AI in search of a way back to Earth. The game received positive feedback, and the development team expressed their excitement about the achievement, promising continued efforts to broaden its reach.

IGN's review gave Pragmata an 8/10, praising its shooting action and hacking puzzles as highlights, though the story was seen as secondary. This strong start hints that Pragmata could develop into a new franchise for Capcom.
