Google launches Google Health with new app and Fitbit Air band
The company announced a unified platform for health and activity tracking, including an AI-powered coach called Gemini.

Google has officially introduced Google Health, an evolution of the Fitbit app that consolidates health and activity data into a single platform. It now combines information from Fitbit devices, Pixel, favorite apps, and even medical history, providing a comprehensive health overview.
The redesigned interface categorizes data into three main sections: fitness, sleep, and health, making it easier to navigate and customize. It also tracks menstrual cycles and nutrition, adapting to individual needs.
One of the key innovations is Google Health Coach, an AI-powered personal trainer driven by Gemini. This assistant is always available and adjusts to users' goals and circumstances, offering personalized plans and real-time follow-up.
The coach works as a chatbot, enabling natural communication at any time. Tested by over 500,000 users in preview, it will be available from May 19 within Google Health Premium, costing $9.99 per month.
Google also introduced Fitbit Air, a screenless activity band designed for comfortable, distraction-free health monitoring. It tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep quality, and more, with a seven-day battery life and fast charging.
Available in various styles and colors, Fitbit Air can be ordered starting this Thursday and will launch on May 26 at $99.99, including three months of Google Health Premium.
Google Health consolidates data from devices, apps, and medical history, offering a comprehensive view of personal health.
This launch marks a significant step in integrating technology and health, emphasizing privacy and personalization. The platform aims to make health tracking easier in daily life.
