Agibot Humanoid Robots Complete Six-Day Factory Shift with 99.99% Success
Shanghai-based startup Agibot demonstrated its robots' capability for quality control and material handling tasks in a real industrial environment, marking a milestone in automation.

A remarkable 99.99 percent success rate was achieved by humanoid robots from the startup Agibot, completing a six-day shift on a live factory production line. These sophisticated machines, built by the Shanghai-based company, performed quality control inspections and handled materials for over 64 hours at a factory in Nanchang, eastern China.

The entire operation was live-streamed, showcasing the robots' completion of more than 60,000 production line tasks with near-perfect accuracy. This accomplishment not only highlights the technology's robustness but also underscores its readiness for demanding industrial environments.
For Dr. Yao Maoqing, a senior vice president at Agibot, the key question is no longer about what a robot can demonstrate, but rather its ability to be deployed, integrated, and create value in real operations.
"The key question for humanoid robotics is no longer what a robot can demonstrate, but whether it can be deployed, integrated, and create value in real operating environments," said Dr. Yao Maoqing, a senior vice president at Agibot.
Agibot, based in Shanghai, also announced a significant milestone: it has now built more than 15,000 robots. This figure reflects a substantial step towards deploying real-world robots at scale, solidifying the company's position in the automation industry.
This advancement aligns with China's strategic vision. The country's latest Five-Year Plan, spanning from 2026 to 2030, has prioritized humanoid robots as one of the top 10 strategic industries for economic growth. This indicates a national commitment to advanced robotics.

China's strategy represents a pivot towards "embodied AI," where humanoids are equipped with powerful chips that enable them to perform tasks well beyond the realm of standard industrial robots. Takayuki Ito, president of the International Federation of Robotics, noted that China is shifting its focus from traditional industrial automation to high-end, intelligent robotics integrated with artificial intelligence.
Market projections are ambitious. Analysts from Barclays forecast that China will deploy 11 million humanoid robots by 2035, far outpacing the 2 million units projected for the rest of the world. However, separate analysis from Morgan Stanley found that China sold just 12,000 humanoids last year, suggesting that expectations may well exceed current market reality.
Following the six-day live stream of its factory robots, Agibot claimed it had successfully demonstrated the commercial value of humanoid machines. This step marks a clear transition from laboratory testing into real-world applications. The company stated that the industry is entering a new phase, where embodied AI is beginning to be tested in a more transparent way, closer to the conditions that industrial customers actually care about.
