Microsoft is testing a major update for the Windows 11 Run menu, offering a sleek, more efficient interface. The new version is now available to Insiders in the Experimental Channel, allowing feedback on performance and design.

In a blog post, Microsoft explained that they removed the "Browse" button from the menu due to its very low usage. Instead, they added support for a new "~\" command, which directly opens the user's directory, making file access easier.

The redesigned menu was built using code from Command Palette, a utility available through PowerToys that enables quick access to commands and system functions. This aims to provide a more modern and user-friendly experience.

This update reflects Microsoft's focus on enhancing Windows 11's usability and visual appeal, aligning with current design trends. Although still in testing, it is expected to reach all users in upcoming stable releases.
