Meta Launches New Meta Glasses with AI and Real-time Translation
Meta's latest smart glasses, partly designed with Kylie Jenner, feature advanced AI that interprets surroundings and offers real-time translation.

Meta has introduced its new Meta Glasses, a collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, now available starting at **$299** in the United States. These smart glasses stand out by integrating the latest generation of Meta AI and offering real-time simultaneous translation across 20 languages.
This new line is presented as a proprietary platform, featuring three distinct initial models. The **Meta Adventurer** offers a classic rectangular aesthetic and is available in two sizes. For those seeking a more striking and robust design, the **Meta Fury** glasses are available. Finally, the **Meta Glasses by Kylie** were developed in partnership with renowned influencer Kylie Jenner, featuring an oval, more streamlined frame.
The offering is rounded out with an impressive **26 color combinations** and finishes, including variants in black, tortoiseshell, green, linen, merlot, mahogany, and sandstone. Users can also choose between transparent, polarized, sun, and photochromatic lenses, adapting to any need and personal style.
Technologically, the Meta Glasses retain many of the functions found in the Ray-Ban Meta line, but are enhanced with the latest Meta AI. This allows users to make inquiries via voice commands, capture photos and videos hands-free, listen to music or podcasts through open-ear speakers, and answer calls without needing additional headphones.
To ensure clear communication, they incorporate a **multi-microphone system** with advanced wind noise cancellation, significantly improving call quality and voice recognition accuracy. Battery life is another strong point, exceeding **eight hours of continuous use**, with the portable charging case providing up to **40 additional hours**.
The true qualitative leap for these smart glasses comes with the integration of **Muse Spark**, an innovative artificial intelligence model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. This technology enables the glasses to interpret the user's visual environment and answer contextual questions about what they are seeing in real time, opening up a wide range of interactive possibilities.
The true qualitative leap for these smart glasses comes with the integration of **Muse Spark**, an innovative artificial intelligence model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs.
Thanks to Muse Spark, the glasses can offer relevant sports information, recommend nearby restaurants, assist with task organization, and even provide contextual help based on images captured by the integrated camera. Imagine walking through a city and your glasses providing historical facts about a building you're looking at, or helping you identify a plant.
Meta has already announced that future software updates will further expand these capabilities. Among the most anticipated new features are guided pedestrian navigation and, perhaps most impressively, **real-time simultaneous translation for 20 languages**. This includes key languages such as Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Hindi, promising seamless communication across language barriers.
Unlike the Ray-Ban Meta, which focuses on more traditional daily wear, and the Oakley Meta, geared towards sports, the Meta Glasses are positioned as a proprietary line from Meta and EssilorLuxottica. Their strategy centers on personalization, style diversity, and deep integration with the latest AI capabilities from day one, aiming for a distinct niche in the wearable market.
Starting at **$299** in the United States, these glasses become the most accessible option within Meta’s smart glasses ecosystem. Sales have already commenced in countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Australia. However, Meta has not yet confirmed a date for their arrival in Latin America or the Argentinian market.
