GTA 6 Cover Art Revealed, Pre-Orders Begin June 25 with Price Reveal
Rockstar Games unveils the official Grand Theft Auto 6 cover, confirming pre-orders open on June 25, a key date to discover its anticipated launch price.

Anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 6 is soaring as Rockstar Games just revealed the game's official cover artwork, offering a vivid glimpse into its expansive world. Furthermore, June 25 is set to be a crucial date for fans, as pre-orders will open, and the long-speculated launch price will finally be unveiled.
While a new teaser video is now live on Rockstar's YouTube channel, it's important to clarify that this is not the game's next full trailer, which we are still awaiting. Nevertheless, the opening of pre-orders on June 25 will put an end to the intense speculation surrounding how much this gaming behemoth will cost.
Will GTA 6 launch at $70, $80, or even as high as $100? These figures have been circulating due to estimates for the game's "mammoth development" costs. Both the industry and players are keen to see how Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive will justify the price of a title poised to be one of history's most ambitious, similar to how the hugely-lucrative GTA 5 continues to rake in money.
Amidst this discussion, Strauss Zelnick, the boss of GTA 6 publisher Take-Two Interactive, addressed the pricing question at the iicon conference in April this year. Zelnick suggested that his company would keep the game's cost in check to ensure players felt the price was "fair."
"Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way way way less of the value delivery," Zelnick said. "How you feel about something you buy is the intersection of the thing itself and what you pay for. Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got."
The cover art, just shared by Rockstar Games in high-quality, is a visual feast featuring GTA 6's dual protagonists: Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. They are prominently displayed amidst a chaotic and action-packed scene, surrounded by iconic elements of the Grand Theft Auto universe.

The image showcases a motorbike pulling off a trick alongside a cop car, and a helicopter with a minigun strapped to one side, immediately hinting at the kind of action awaiting players. Lower down the cover, an unknown woman wearing a necklace with the word "siempre" (meaning "always") adds a touch of intrigue. To the right, one of the game's previously announced supporting characters, Boobie Ike, a real estate mogul and club owner, is featured.
At the base of the cover, it appears we can see Raul Bautista, a veteran Vice City bank robber who crosses paths with Lucia and Jason. A sports car, a speedboat (complete with a flamingo), and a hungry-looking alligator are also visible. This composition effectively establishes the game's core concepts: the ability to wield guns and drive all sorts of vehicles across an urban environment, while also venturing into an open world where wild animals roam.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is slated to launch on November 19, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This event promises to be one of the biggest video game launches in history, with every detail, from the cover art to the eventual price, fueling immense anticipation.
Beyond the excitement for the cover, fans may recall previous news surrounding the "stolen data from the Rockstar hack saga" and Zelnick's comments denying rumors that GTA 6 would be a digital-only release. These past events add further layers of interest to the impending arrival of a title already dominating the gaming conversation.
With pre-orders set for June 25, the price reveal will be the next major milestone before its official launch on November 19, 2026. The gaming community eagerly awaits these crucial details that will define their investment in what could very well be the game of the decade.
