‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ has an official release date on Disney+. The film, which stayed in theaters for 196 days, will be available starting June 24, as announced during the Disney Upfront. This installment continues James Cameron’s saga, following Jake Sully and Neytiri, played by Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña.

In this chapter, the heroes face a new threat: the return of Colonel Miles Quaritch, now allied with Varang, leader of a Na'vi tribe called the Ash People. The villain, portrayed by Oona Chaplin, makes her way into the franchise after her roles in ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Quantum of Solace’.

The movie earned over 1.486 billion dollars worldwide, confirming the franchise’s ongoing popularity. Cameron built a visually stunning and narratively strong universe in the previous films, which sets the stage for this third part.

If fans want to catch up, the first two movies are available on Disney+. The 2009 original introduces Jake Sully, a former Marine who travels to Pandora and connects with the Na'vi through an avatar. ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ expands Pandora’s world, showing Jake and Neytiri as parents in a marine environment. Watching them beforehand enriches the viewing experience of the new film.

The streaming release marks a key moment for the franchise, which continues to grow and influence pop culture. Expectations are high, and Disney+ promises to add the film soon to its catalog.
